But every now and then, a brunch comes along that feels a little different. More relaxed, more thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. BRUNCH:ED at ME by Meliá Dubai’s Terrace Restaurant is one of those experiences. I recently spent my Saturday afternoon there with some friends, and long before the last cocktail was poured, we knew this wouldn’t be our last time visit. Which brings me here, where I get to tell you exactly why this spot needs to be on your brunch bucket list this winter.

First Impressions Go A Long Way
From the moment we stepped out into the terrace, everything felt fresh, modern, and well put together. And the weather in Dubai this winter couldn’t be more perfect for a terrace brunch. The open seating felt spacious and comfortable, with a good balance of sunlight and shade thanks to the overhead pillars. Which looked like they came straight out of the world of Pandora (IYKYK). The space gives a panoramic view of Business Bay and a clear shot of the iconic Burj Khalifa. It’s scenic, relaxing, and very easy to settle into. As far as first impressions go, let’s just say we were already left stunned.
A Buffet Style Brunch (AKA A Free Pass To Eat To Your Hearts Desire)
BRUNCH:ED is a buffet-style brunch, which I personally love because you can go back (again and again) till your heart and tummy feel satisfied. Mine definitely was. The spread is international and well rounded, with options that work for different preferences, including vegetarians like me. There’s a section dedicated to Mediterranean salads and dishes, a wide cheese selection, and comforting mains like pasta, rice-based dishes, and ratatouille. The live cooking stations were a nice touch, serving freshly grilled favourites straight off the flame, along with seafood options. The only time my friends and I stopped yapping for at least 5 seconds during this brunch was when our plates were full.
Drinks Made Just The Way You Like Them
The drinks were a standout part of the afternoon. While there is a set drinks menu depending on your package, what really impressed us was how flexible the bar team was. We could simply ask for anything we were in the mood for, and the bartenders were happy to make it. We had a few rounds of Moscow Mules and Aperol Spritz, and at one point asked the bartender to surprise us. The result was a refreshing gin-based fruity cocktail that ended up being one of our favourites of the day. A special mention to Ramesh, who kept our drinks coming and made sure no glass was ever empty.
The Attention To Details & Service That Made All The Difference
What really elevated this brunch was the service. The staff were attentive without hovering, always checking in at the right moments. At one point, our waitress Joanna noticed we were feeling cold and brought over cashmere shawls, which was such a thoughtful detail. They also picked up that two of us were celebrating a birthday and surprised the table with a special in-house dessert. This touch felt so personal and genuinely kind. It’s the small details like this that make all the difference.
Desserts Worth Saving Space For
Speaking of, the dessert section deserves its own mention. There was a generous selection of rich and indulgent desserts, that were so good they kept everyone going back for more. It was the perfect way to end the meal without feeling too heavy.
Easy Vibes, Live Entertainment & Post-Brunch Party Vibes
There was live entertainment throughout the afternoon, which added so much fun to the atmosphere . The overall vibe stayed light, social, and unforced. The kind of brunch where you’re eating, drinking, talking, and suddenly realise how quickly the time has passed. But for those who want to keep things going, BRUNCH:ED continues with an after-party from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. It’s a nice option if you’re not ready to call it a day just yet and want to stay a little longer.
So, Would I Recommend It?
Overall, BRUNCH:ED at ME by Meliá Dubai’s Terrace Restaurant is a well-thought out Saturday brunch that gets the balance right. Good food, fun drinks, great service, and a setting that genuinely adds to the experience. It felt relaxed, enjoyable and most definitely easy to recommend – happy to say I’d go back every Saturday if I could! My girls would agree too.
