You can see a recreated light-art installation version of this stunning view at DIFC Gate Avenue for a limited time only – all you have to do is lookup. VOUW, an Amsterdam-based design studio, has used lights to recreate the breathtaking view in a beautiful art installation titled City Gazing Dubai. Visitors can see the Palm Jumeirah, Sheikh Zayed Road, and much more thanks to renditions of satellite images of Dubai.

The art installation, which is part of the Dubai Shopping Festival, is suspended eight metres above DIFC Gate Avenue. This structure is on display till the 29th of January only so hurry up and pay a visit! The timings to watch this amazing light structure are 7.10 PM to 3 AM. A total of 18 metres by 11 metres of LEDs were used, all of which were timed to music. Guests who stand underneath the illuminated map would enjoy a vibrant soundscape accompanied by a dynamic light display.
The installation depicts how Dubai has grown from a few streets to the exceptional, world-acclaimed metropolis it is present in the last 50 years. The piece will convey to viewers a message about human progress, connection, and sustainability. Mingus Vogel is the creator of the art installation, which he collaborated on with Justus Bruns.
