Winter months means no sunshine. Sun is the driving force of our planet. Without sun, there would be no life on the planet. Apart from providing life, sunshine is also a great source of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for our bones and muscles. The pandemic and winter season has made us stay inside, which means our bodies are less exposed to Vitamin D. This is the easiest alternative to replenish Vitamin D in your body. Consult your doctor before starting the medication because there are a lot of options out there. Your doctor will tell you which medicine and how much medicine is appropriate for your body type. Ideally, you should not take more than 100 micrograms of Vitamin D in a day.

Eggs, Meat and Fish:

Fishes like Salmon,  sardines, mackerel, pilchards, tinned tuna, kippers, herrings and trout are great sources of Vitamin D. Plus you get better quality of fishes during the winter months. Beef and lamb are another good source of Vitamin D. If you are not a big fan of meat, eggs are great as well.
