Monday Blues? This Business Bay Restaurant Is Giving Dubai Two New Reasons to Go Out Midweek
Who says you have to wait until Friday for a proper night out?
Soul Kitchen, the Lebanese-Latin restaurant and bar in Business Bay, is celebrating its third anniversary by launching two brand-new weekly music nights, bringing Arabic jazz, Latin rhythms, cocktails and live entertainment to Dubai’s midweek dining scene.
Starting in November, Tarab Jazz takes over Mondays from 9 November, while Soul of the Americas launches on Wednesdays from 11 November.
Both evenings combine live music with Soul Kitchen’s signature food and cocktails, giving Dubai residents a reason to swap another quiet night at home for something considerably more interesting.
And with a special anniversary menu available throughout November, there’s even more reason to visit.
Mondays Are Getting an Arabic Jazz Makeover
Let’s face it, Monday isn’t usually the first night that comes to mind when you’re planning an evening out.
Soul Kitchen is hoping to change that.
From Monday, 9 November, the restaurant will introduce Tarab Jazz, a weekly live music experience celebrating the golden age of Arabic music and cinema.
But this isn’t simply a night of traditional Arabic covers.
The live band will reinterpret some of the region’s most recognisable melodies using custom-made instruments and jazz improvisation, bringing a contemporary twist to songs that have been loved for generations.
Musician Wassim Bou Melham will also join the band on the wattar, adding another layer to the evening’s blend of traditional Arabic sounds and contemporary jazz.
The result promises something a little different from Dubai’s usual restaurant entertainment, combining musical nostalgia with the spontaneity of a live performance.

There’s Even a Special Arak Cocktail Menu
And because this is Soul Kitchen, the drinks are getting just as much attention as the music.
For Tarab Jazz, the restaurant’s head of beverages, Alexy, has created a dedicated cocktail menu built around arak, the traditional aniseed-flavoured spirit popular throughout the Levant.
Rather than serving it exclusively in the traditional style, the menu reimagines arak through contemporary cocktails.
Guests can arrive from 8pm for cocktails and canapés, with the live music beginning at 9pm.
The restaurant’s regular à la carte menu will also be available throughout the evening, so you can settle in for dinner before the performance starts.
When: Every Monday from 9 November, 8pm onwards
Live Music: From 9pm
Wednesdays Are All About Latin Music With Soul of the Americas
If Arabic jazz isn’t quite your thing, Wednesday nights are heading in a completely different musical direction.
From 11 November, Soul Kitchen will introduce Soul of the Americas, a weekly live music night inspired by the sounds of Latin America.
Think rhythms influenced by Rio de Janeiro, Havana and the wider Latin music scene, performed by a live band throughout the evening.
The idea is to bring the energy of Latin music into the restaurant without turning the experience into a conventional nightclub.
Instead, guests can enjoy dinner, cocktails and live performances together, with the music providing the soundtrack as the evening unfolds.
And given Soul Kitchen’s Lebanese-Latin identity, it’s a particularly natural fit.
When: Every Wednesday from 11 November, 8pm onwards
Live Music: From 9pm
Lebanese Roots Meet Latin American Flavours
One of the things that makes Soul Kitchen different is the story behind its food.
The restaurant takes inspiration from the Arab diaspora that settled across Latin America from the mid-19th century, exploring how ingredients, recipes and culinary traditions evolved as cultures came together.
That influence runs throughout its menu, combining Middle Eastern flavours with Latin American techniques and ingredients.
It’s also reflected in the restaurant’s wider identity, where food, music, art and cultural discovery are treated as part of the same experience.
So whether you’re listening to Arabic jazz on Monday or Latin music on Wednesday, both evenings connect naturally with the restaurant’s culinary roots.
There’s a Special Anniversary Menu Throughout November
The celebrations don’t stop with the music.
To mark three years since opening in Business Bay on 12 September 2023, Soul Kitchen is introducing a special Anniversary Menu, available exclusively throughout November.
The menu features a selection of dishes including Shimaji Tiradito, Figs & Burrata, Carni Burger, Steak & Truffle and Café en el Campo.
It’s another opportunity to explore the restaurant’s Lebanese-Latin approach to dining, with dishes that reflect its combination of culinary influences.
Guests will also receive complimentary branded Soul Kitchen coasters as a small anniversary keepsake.
And the Weekend Parties Aren’t Going Anywhere
While the two new nights are designed to bring more energy to the working week, Soul Kitchen’s existing weekend events will continue.
Every Saturday, the restaurant hosts its Big Bad Brunch, followed by the Reunion After Party from 4pm until closing.
So whether you’re after a relaxed evening of live music, a midweek dinner with friends or a full Saturday brunch that carries on into the evening, there’s now something happening across several days of the week.
Three Years of Food, Music and Cultural Connection
Since opening in 2023, Soul Kitchen has built its identity around the idea that restaurants should offer more than simply somewhere to eat.
Its approach brings together food, music, art and regional alternative culture, creating a space where different traditions and creative influences meet.
And according to Wassim Bou Melham, Chief Strategy Officer of Soul Kitchen, the new weekly events are a continuation of that philosophy.
“Three years in, Soul Kitchen has become exactly what we hoped for: a place where great food and great music share the same table.”
He added that Tarab Jazz and Soul of the Americas reflect the restaurant’s focus on culture, connection and creating memorable experiences.

The Gulf Buzz Take
Dubai certainly isn’t short of places to go out on a Friday or Saturday, but finding somewhere with genuinely interesting entertainment earlier in the week can be a little more challenging.
And that’s exactly where Soul Kitchen’s two new nights come in.
Tarab Jazz on Mondays offers something different with classic Arabic melodies reimagined through jazz, while Soul of the Americas on Wednesdays brings the energy of Latin music into the restaurant.
Throw in a dedicated arak cocktail menu, Lebanese-Latin dining and a special anniversary menu throughout November, and you’ve got several reasons to visit.
If your midweek social life has been looking a little quiet lately, Soul Kitchen is giving you two very good excuses to change that.
