Not sure what to get family and friends this Diwali? Let them pick it themselves. The BurJuman Digital Gift Card works across fashion, beauty, dining and entertainment, so there’s something for everyone. Cards start from AED 50 and go up to AED 5,000, and they’re valid for one year from the date of issue. You can pick one up at the Customer Service counter at Lobby A, Level 1. The card can be used at participating BurJuman outlets and can’t be exchanged for cash.
Get Creative With Free Workshops
Fancy getting hands-on? The free creative workshops cover lantern making, toran crafting, mandala art and Indian calligraphy. They run Monday to Thursday, from 14 October to 12 November, between 5pm and 9pm. It’s an easy way to make something pretty for your home, or just to try something new with family or friends.
Live Music, Fridays & Beyond
The Musical Baithaks are back after last year’s performances proved so popular. Expect traditional South Asian music in an intimate live setting. The free Musical Showcase runs on Fridays, 16, 23 and 30 October, and 6 November, from 6pm to 9pm.
Got Talent? Show It Off
The BurJuman Diwali Talent Competition is open to performers of all ages. Whether you sing, dance, act or do something else entirely, this is your stage. Finalists will compete for a share of AED 10,000 in BurJuman Mall Gift Cards. Catch the shows on Saturdays, 17, 24 and 31 October, and 7 November, from 6pm to 9pm.
Sundays Are For Desi Beats
Sundays bring roaming dhol performances and the Desi Beats Hour, with Bollywood, Punjabi, Garba and Dandiya favourites. It’s the perfect excuse to bring the whole group and dance a little. These happen on 18 and 25 October, and 1 and 8 November, from 6pm to 9pm.
