1. Speakeasy Bar & Restaurant
Speakeasy Bar & Restaurant is celebrating Oktoberfest with a menu full of German-inspired favourites, and the portions are seriously fun. Start with the Giant Pretzilla, a huge pretzel served with beer cheese, sweet mustard and garlic butter. If you’re a sausage person, the classic Original Brat is there for you, and the 1 Meter Wurst comes loaded with sauerkraut, crispy onions and German mustard. The Beer Fest Passport is also worth a look. It’s AED 90 and includes three beers, plus entry into a weekly draw to win an AED 1,000 voucher.

2. Ernst Biergarten
Over at 25hours Hotel One Central, Ernst Biergarten is running its Bavarian Bierfest, so you have plenty of time to fit it in. Expect Bavarian food, Paulaner beer and live bands. It’s also a great excuse to make a weekend of it. The Saturday brunch (1pm–5pm) has packages starting from AED 300, and the Sunday roast (1pm–4pm) is AED 120.

3. Grand Hyatt Dubai
Prefer the full festival tent experience? The Grand Oktoberfest at Grand Hyatt Dubai is the place to be. The Die Kirchdorfer band is flying in from Munich, so the music should feel properly Bavarian. 4. Oktoberfest With Emirates
This one is for the travellers. Until 4 October, Emirates is serving Oktoberfest dishes across all cabin classes on flights between Dubai and Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Hamburg. It’s more of a nice perk than a deal, so it only matters if you’re already heading to Germany. If you are, your celebration can start before you land.
