Why The Monorail Is Closed
According to the Palm Monorail team, the closure is part of ongoing station maintenance. While no reopening date has been announced yet, they’ve assured passengers that updates will be shared as soon as services are ready to resume. In their Instagram post, they said: “Please be advised that Monorail service is temporarily suspended until further notice due to maintenance. We’ll keep you updated once service resumes.”
A Key Way To Get Around Palm Jumeirah
The Palm Monorail is a favourite among both residents and tourists, thanks to its unbeatable views of Palm Jumeirah and easy access to some of the island’s biggest attractions. The 5.5-kilometre line runs through four main stations, connecting Palm Gateway all the way to Atlantis Aquaventure. It’s also worth noting that this monorail is the only public transport system on Palm Jumeirah, making it an important travel option on the island.

Ticket Prices You Should Know
Before the suspension, monorail tickets were known for being affordable and convenient. Single tickets start from AED 5, while round-trip fares start from AED 10. Making it a budget-friendly way to explore the Palm.
How To Get Around In The Meantime
Until the monorail is back up and running, residents and visitors can use RTA’s Hala Taxi to travel around Palm Jumeirah. It’s currently the recommended alternative while station maintenance work is underway.
For now, keep an eye on the official Palm Monorail website for updates if you’re planning a visit. Especially if Atlantis Aquaventure or other Palm landmarks are on your list.
