Every year, Umm Suqeim Beach transforms into a stunning Flag Garden to mark UAE Flag Day and National Day. Thousands of UAE flags are carefully placed to create aerial portraits of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. It’s meaningful, impressive, and totally photo-worthy.
2. Dubai Shopping Festival Deals – Ends January 11
Dubai Shopping Festival is back with massive discounts of up to 90% across malls and stores, and loads of entertainment that turn shopping into a full-on event. Shoppers can also take part in mega raffles with prizes like a Nissan Patrol, AED million in cash, and one million Blue Points.
3. Drone Show at Bluewaters – Daily shows until January 11
Bluewaters is lighting up the night sky with a spectacular drone show themed “Celebrations.” More than a thousand drones take over the airspace between Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, while Ain Dubai runs its own lighting show alongside it. One of the standout moments includes drones forming Johnny Depp’s iconic artwork, The Bunnyman, and on January 10, special skydiver jumps will add even more drama.
4. Fireworks at Festival City – Ends January 11
Festival City is going big with free fireworks every night at 8:30pm, filling the sky with colour and excitement. That’s not all. Visitors can also enjoy free live performances featuring music, dance and theatre. Set along Dubai’s beautiful waterfront, this non-stop run of entertainment has been going strong for 38 days and wraps up soon.
