The new clinic offers people living with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and other movement disorders access to advanced treatments, multidisciplinary care, and international expertise from King’s College Hospital London specialists—now available in Bahrain. For the first time, patients and caregivers no longer need to travel abroad to receive the latest evidence-based therapies and support.

Bahrain Parkinson’s Patients Connecting Communities Program
In collaboration with the Emirates Parkinson’s Patients Association (Parkinson’s UAE), the launch included a free Parkinson’s clinic and an open Q&A session for patients and caregivers. Around 100 participants joined both in-person and via Zoom, engaging directly with world experts in an interactive format.
Dr. Vinod Metta, Director of the Parkinson’s Program, emphasised that the initiative gives patients and caregivers a unique opportunity to connect with world-renowned specialists, access vital information, and receive practical tools to manage their condition effectively. He highlighted that patients no longer need to travel abroad for advanced treatment—those resources are now available close to home.
