The days of grabbing delicious dishes for AED 10 may be behind us (good old DSS), but drive around Dubai and you’d be sure to spot equally yummy dishes for AED 10 that you can grab all year round. And guess what? You don’t need to go hunting for these dishes because I just took the onus of researching. So here’s our round-up of all that you can dig into. Presenting AED 10 (or less) dishes across the city:

Regag from Tent Jumeirah

If you guys haven’t tried this banger of a dish yet, then what are you all doing? For the uninitiated, regag is the Emirati version of a flatbread that’s crispy and chewy at the same time. If you’re an Indian, at first sight, it’d almost remind you of a Dosa. Okay, enough about what it is, now onto where to grab it for a steal! You can dig into it for just AED 8 at Tent Jumeirah, the simple, humble restaurant next to the Fishing Harbour in Jumeirah.
Rib Eye Steak from Fibber Magee

So, this isn’t an all-day every day deal but a Tuesday-only deal. Normally their Rib Eye Steak costs AED 110 (with chips, that is), but on Tuesdays you can score it for just AED 10. I know, right? Rib Eye Steak at an iconic Irish pub for just AED 10 – I mean, I don’t know what else could be better than this! This even trumps all the DSS AED 10 dishes of August put together.
Mini Nutella Dosa from Sangeetha Restaurant

Okay, technically this falls under the kids’ menu but hey, aren’t we all kids at heart? If you want a break from your regular Ghee or Masala Dosa, then tuck into this mini plate of goodness at one of UAE’s favourite veg restaurants. Topped with a generous spread of Nutella, this mini dosa is priced at AED 8.
Pizza from Papa Murphy’s Pizza

Craving pizza but don’t wanna shed 40 bucks? Don’t! Just head over to America’s favourite pizzeria, Papa Murphy’s (you can find it at multiple locations from JLT to Qusais), and order a small pizza for AED 10. If you’re a tad hungrier than usual, then you can order their medium pizza which is also an equally good deal. It costs only AED 20!
AED 10 Matcha Ice Cream from B1 Mall

If you’re the kind who loves sipping on that green goodness through the day, then look no further than B1 Mall. Think creamy, dreamy, and oh-so-zen on your taste buds, with just the right hit of sweetness and that signature matcha bite. The best part? You can dig in for only AED 10 (yes, ten dirhams!) at Best Peak Ice Cream, tucked away in B1 Mall, Al Barsha.
Mangalore Buns from Venus

Ah, what can I say about these beauties? They’re crispy, they’re soft and they’re oh-so-fluffy. You can grab this from the OG restaurant, Venus for just AED 9.75 a pop. With the Udupi-style sambar and coconut chutney, this savoury-meets-sweet treat is sure to drive away your weekday blues!
Now, who needs DSS when you’ve got AED 10 (or less!) dishes like these waiting for you all year round? All that’s left to do is to grab your appetite, hit the streets, and dig in, because good food doesn’t always have to cost a fortune!
