While UAE is the king of taking home world records, if there was one being given out for ambitious projects, Saudi would win it. For example, projects like NEOM, the Red Sea Project, and King Salman Park are designed to create futuristic cities and jaw-dropping tourist spots. Meanwhile, Dubai continues to lead as a business and tourism hub, with ongoing projects to keep its title intact. The UAE’s economy is strong, and its partnership with Saudi Arabia means the whole region is only getting stronger together!

There’s a new wave of younger travellers heading to Saudi for culture, adventure, and a peek into a changing society. Fancy dinner and a live show? Places like Billionaire and DREAM make that happen. Dubai’s nightlife is where fine dining meets full-on entertainment. And yes, this city is where alcohol get’s added to the story.
So… Is Saudi The New Dubai?
Short answer? No. But also yes – in its own way. I don’t think Saudi can become the ‘New Dubai’ because Saudi isn’t trying to be Dubai. They’re focused on their own unique selling points, like more cultural, more adventurous, more futuristic inventions. It’s exciting, fresh, and absolutely worth exploring.
While Dubai remain the IT girl of the GCC for a long time coming, honestly why choose between the two when you can have both? Weekends in Dubai and adventures in Saudi. Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
