Which Is The Next UAE Public Holiday To Look Forward To?

This past weekend, the residents of UAE celebrated the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday on Sunday, September 15th. The day was marked with joy and celebration, with families and communities gathering to recite religious poetry and share a feast in the Prophet’s honour. Although UAE residents didn’t get to see a weekday public holiday for this occasion, the next public holiday is sure to make you smile when you find out how many days off we get! So, come with me, and I’ll tell you when the next public Holiday is in the UAE.

When’s The Next Public Holiday?

It’s still a couple of months away, but it’s going to be a big one! From December 1st to December 3rd, the UAE will be in full celebration mode for Commemoration Day and National Day. Commemoration Day will be celebrated on Sunday, December 1st, followed by National Day on Monday, December 2nd, with an extra day of festivities on Tuesday, December 3rd!

A 4-Day Long Weekend!

For those who get the traditional Saturday-Sunday weekend, you’re in for a treat! This means you’ll enjoy a glorious 4-day long weekend, stretching from Saturday, November 30th to Tuesday, December 3rd. It’s the perfect opportunity to unwind, relax, and enjoy the vibrant celebrations across the UAE.

The Last Public Holiday Of 2024

This December holiday will mark the last public holiday of 2024 in the UAE. However, there are still some religious holidays like Diwali, which falls on Friday, November 1st, and Christmas on Wednesday, December 25th. Whether you get a day off for these holidays will depend on your employer, so it’s always good to check in advance.

We’re just a couple of months away from this exciting break, so make sure to block your calendar now. With the way time is flying, December will be here before you know it!
