Since the end of 2020 is here The Economist Intelligence Unit have released their annual Worldwide Cost of Living report. This report ranks 133 cities according to how expensive their cities were in 2020.
Hong Kong, Paris and Zurich are most expensive cities to live in right now. Following these three is Singapore on the fourth place and for the fifth place there is a tie between Osaka and Tel Aviv. Following all these New York, Geneva, Los Angeles and Copenhagen which makes it top ten cities.
This year many events changed the top ten cities, there were currency fluctuations, hence some cities climbed up in the list while some were pushed down. The Economist Unit basically looks at the cost of groceries, cost of living and other the cost of basic utilities. Meanwhile cities like Shanghai, Beijing, Miami and Dubai are all under top 20.
