This Town In Italy Is Selling Houses For Just AED 4.5

The whole world has faced this deadly virus, and some of its disadvantages are that, that people are choosing to move into smaller homes or are living with with their friends and family so that they can save up on rent. One such place which is still going through the drastic effects of this virus is Italy. Many beautiful towns in Italy are completely abandon and depopulated.

One such town, Salemi, is offering vacant houses for as low as 4.5 AED, since it has been suffering from the problem of depopulation for many years and covid just made it worse. Domenico Venuti, who is Salemi’s mayor, explained to CNN, “All buildings belong to the city council, which speeds up the sale and reduces red tape. Before launching the scheme we first had to recover the old parts of Salemi where the houses are located, upgrading infrastructures and services from roads to electric grids and sewage pipes. Now the town is ready for the next step.”

Several towns of Italy are facing the same problem now, one such Italian town which is located on Southern Italy’s hilltop named Sambuca, is selling houses for less than the price of an expresso. Just for 3.8 AED you can buy a house in Sambuca.

The house might cost you less but there are other formalities that are to be fulfilled before buying the house. For Salemi, the application forms are now available on the city’s council website, you have to make a deposit (which is refundable) and have to show your renovation plan. You will get your refund if your project is completed in 3 years.

So be ready to leave your old life and start a fresh one in one of these amazing towns of Italy.
