Ras Al Khaimah is aiming for the skies this New Year’s Eve! With a one-of-a-kind firework spectacular, the UAE hopes to set two Guinness World Records. The first Guinness World Records attempt will be for the ‘Most remote-operated multirotor/Drones releasing fireworks simultaneously.’ The second world record is for the ‘highest altitude multirotor/drone firework show.’
The show will take place on Al Marjan Island, with hundreds of pyrotechnic drones taking to the skies. The show will be the culmination of over 5,000 hours of preparation and will include over 15,000 fireworks effects. Look for extra-large shells, vibrant and shifting colours, and distinctive shapes that we are confident will contribute to the show’s majesty.
The show is scheduled to last around 12-minutes. If you want to go, the gates will open at 4 pm, so make sure you get there early to grab a good place. Beginning on December 30th, there will also be family-friendly events such as music events, food carts, a specialised market area, and more. There will even be camping spots where you can interact with nature with your family and friends!
