The Shindagha Tunnel which connects Deira & Bur Dubai will reopen on March 13th, following the completion of work connecting the newly-opened Infinity Bridge and the new bridges with the tunnel.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Thursday: “The reopening of the tunnel and linking it with the new bridges along the Shindagha Corridor will enhance the road capacity by 3,000 vehicles per hour, which will bring the total capacity of the corridor to 15,000 vehicles per hour.”
With the reopening of the Shindagha Tunnel in the direction of Deira to Bur Dubai, RTA made alterations to the directional signs in the region to guarantee the smooth flow of traffic from Deira. The traffic flow in the Shindagha Tunnel from Bur Dubai to Deira will be maintained and will remain open to road users.
