The Next UAE Public Holidays To Look Forward To Now That Islamic New Year Is Over

 You may already be gearing up for your travel or staycations for the Eid Al Adha holidays that are just a handful of days away. So far this year, we have had a public holiday on January 1 for New Years Day, and then Eid Al Fitr holidays from April 20 to 23. There was also the Eid Al Adha holiday from the 27th of June to the 30th. But don’t worry because there are still a few public holidays in the UAE to look forward to. 1. Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday – September, 29th

Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, known as Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawi, is scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2023. This results in an extended weekend towards the end of September for the UAE, particularly for those following the customary Saturday-Sunday weekend.

3. Commemoration Day and UAE National Day – December 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Commemoration Day, previously referred to as Martyrs’ Day, is observed annually on December 1. In 2023, it falls on a Friday. Subsequently, the UAE National Day is celebrated on December 2 and 3, which fall on a Saturday and Sunday respectively. Consequently, the final extended weekend of the year will span three days. It will definitely be a weekend of splendour and fireworks.
