Recently, Correos España, a state-owned postal service issued four stamps of different colours. These stamps are based on the colour of skin. The lightest colour costs 1.60 euros ($1.95) while the darkest one if for 0.70 euros ($0.85). This postal service calls them “Equality Stamps” and they issued with the sole purpose of combating racism. These stamps were issued on the death anniversary of George Floyd.
The postal service said that the stamps “reflect an unfair and painful reality that shouldn’t be allowed”. Their main goal was to “shine a light on racial inequality and promote diversity, inclusion and equal rights.”
