Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Opens To Public, How To Reach, Timings & More

The Mohammed bin Rashid Library is a seven-story building with nine specialised libraries and over a million print and digital volumes. The General Library, Emirates Library, Young Adults Library, Children’s Library, Special Collection Library, Maps and Atlases Library, Media and Arts Library, Business Library, and Periodical Library are the nine libraries. There are also over six million research pieces, 73,000 music scores, 75,000 videos, approximately 13,000 essays, and over 5,000 historical print and digital periodicals on the site. Around 35,000 print and digital newspapers from around the world are also available.

Here are all the details for the public:

The library is open to the public from today, June 16th. It is located in Al Jaddaf, by the Dubai Creek. Entry to this library is free that is you don’t have to buy a ticket to enter but it is recommended to install the library app and reserve your time slots on it. Children under the age of five or not allowed in the library but those who are more than five years old are welcome and there is even a section for kids with an indoor slide! This place also has many books for blind children, these books are published in braille. This library also has sensory pods for autistic people.

Memberships are available for those who wish to buy them, this will enable UAE residents to borrow books for different periods. The membership details are not out yet, but you can expect them to be announced here. The nearest metro station is Al Jaddaf, and a shaded pedestrian route is currently being constructed to provide direct access to the library. The Dubai Bus route C04, which stops at the Creek Metro Station, is also an option. The library will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM, while Sundays will be closed. There is a nine-story underground parking garage with free automobile parking, including electric vehicle charging stations.
