2020 has been a bizarre year with some bizarre things that have happened during the course of the whole year. The most intriguing and mysterious of them all are the monolith appearances and disappearances. Let’s have a look at all of them!
What is a monolith?Â
A large single standing block of stone or metal, especially one that was put there by people living in ancient times for their coming generations. Monoliths often are a sign of something, like a warning or a reminder.

The First Monolith:
This first monolith was found on 18th November, 2020. It was found in a remote desert in Utah’s Red Rock Country. A very shiny metal was discovered by a helicopter crew which was counting bighorn sheep in the canyon, when they went ahead for a closer look, they discovered a 12 foot tall monolith.
The Second Monolith:
The second monolith was discovered the same day the first one disappeared. It was spotted in Batca Doamnei, which is a hill very close to the town of Piatra Neamt in Romania. Both of the monoliths were found to be quite similar, they both were almost 10 feet tall. While the Utah monolith was smooth in texture, but the Romanian monolith was found to be covered in circles.
The Third Monolith:
On December 2nd, 2020, just one day after the appearance of the second monolith, appeared a third one on the top of Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California. This on also, was similar to the other two, made of stainless steel, 10 feet tall and 18 inches wide.
