Tünzale Memmedzade, a 33-year-old artist spent three years creating a masterpiece. She wrote the Quran in gold on black silk! The Azerbaijani painter used 11.4″ x 13″ sheets of delicate silk, in total which was about 164 feet of black silk. When talking about the ink, she used a little more than three pints of gold and silver ink to transcribe the beautiful text. Here are some of the pictures:
