Get Your Food Prepared By Dubai’s First Robot Chef ‘Flippy’ At This Mall Near You!

Dubai Mall will soon have robot chefs preparing food for customers. At the Wimpy restaurant in Dubai Mall, Flippy 2 (by Miso Robotics) will be tested. Flippy 2 is a robotic arm which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to prepare food. This robot doesn’t get tired, doesn’t take breaks, doesn’t get hurt, and doesn’t sweat into the food it prepares.  Miso Robotics has partnered with Americana Restaurants, which operates Pizza Hut, KFC, and Hardees throughout the Middle East and North Africa, to bring machine employees into the industry.

This will be the initial part of the collaboration, with further expansion anticipated in the following months across other Americana restaurants. Wimpy’s brand director, Melvin Michael, said “Americana Restaurants’ partnership with Miso Robotics marks a significant milestone for the company as we strive to address shifting customer behaviours and preferences through innovative technological solutions.”

The time is now to take Flippy global, and we have a great partner to do it with.”

Flippy 2 is a programmable robot that can automate a variety of cooking chores in fast-food restaurants. It can also work an entire fry station using machine learning and AI vision, assisting in the creation of a more productive work environment. Several restaurants in the United States have installed the new robot arm to speed up the production of food. 100 Flippy 2 machines will be installed by the American chain White Castle. These machines will be able to flip burgers and fry items.
