For when You Want To Go Slow

For those not in a rush, Etihad Rail is also rolling out a regular passenger train. This service will operate at 200 km/h, connecting all 7 emirates and extending to Oman’s border. Key stations will include Sharjah, Fujairah, and the Liwa Desert oasis, making it an ideal option for commuters and leisure travellers alike. The train will accommodate up to 400 passengers per trip and share the same tracks as the existing cargo trains.

Connecting The Entire GCC With One Train

And it keeps getting more exciting – the regular-speed train isn’t just for the UAE. Once the GCC Railway becomes operational, the network will extend to other Gulf countries, enhancing regional connectivity and making travel across the GCC seamless and efficient!
