The number of travellers travelling through DXB is expected to skyrocket from Saturday, March 25 to March 28, when schools are off for spring break. Travellers are encouraged to make minor modifications to their travel plans to ensure a seamless trip.
Essa Al Shamsi, Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, has encouraged passengers to avoid driving to the airport and instead use the Dubai Metro. Metro stations at Terminals 1 and 3 will have extended operating hours to accommodate the expected spike of foot traffic during peak arrival and departure periods.
Travellers are also urged to use Smart Gates to expedite the passport control procedure at both departure and arrival. Those checking in with Emirates at Terminal 3 are also encouraged to make use of the early & self-service check-in options. Those anticipating visitors are urged to utilise the airport’s designated parking lots or valet service to greet their visitors.
