Dubai’s Vision For The Future: 5 Major Projects In Less Than 10 Years

Whether it’s raising the standard of living or making services more accessible, Dubai’s leadership is committed to making this city an even better place to live. Recently, The Executive Council of Dubai, led by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, approved 5 major plans. These initiatives align with the Dubai Plan 2033 and Dubai Social Agenda 33, focusing on areas like education, transport, real estate, and more. 1. Becoming A Cashless City

Dubai is setting its sights on becoming one of the top 5 cashless cities in the world by 2033. The Dubai Cashless Strategy will boost the economy by adding AED 8 billion through increased digital transactions. The goal? To ensure that every business in Dubai accepts digital payments.

2. Suspended Transport System: Dubai Sky Pods

A cutting-edge 65km suspended transport system is on its way! It will connect key areas like Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khor, and Zabeel, aiming to automate 25% of all trips by 2030. These Sky Pods will glide above the city on elevated beams, giving passengers a scenic journey across town. The system will seamlessly integrate with other forms of public transport, offering a smooth, stable and efficient experience for both residents and visitors.

3. Dubai’s Education Strategy 2033

Dubai’s Education Strategy 2033 focuses on preparing students for top universities and future careers. The plan will provide diverse educational pathways, including vocational programs aligned with national priorities. Early career guidance and active involvement from parents and teachers will help ensure that UAE students are globally competitive.

4. Transforming Real Estate

Dubai’s real estate market is set to reach new heights. By 2033, the goal is to raise real estate transaction values to AED 1 trillion and increase the sector’s contribution to the GDP by AED 73 billion. A focus on AI, market data, and transparency will make buying and selling easier, while also aiming to boost homeownership to 33%. Sustainability and community-focused development will also be key parts of this strategy, ensuring Dubai’s growth benefits everyone.

5. National Archives

The Dubai National Archives Project, managed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, is dedicated to preserving the city’s rich history.
