The Roadmap to Faster Journeys

Dubai’s RTA has set its sights on enhancing the city’s transportation infrastructure by constructing dedicated lanes for taxis and buses. These lanes will span a total length of 13.1 kilometres across these 6 key roads:

  • Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Street
  • 2nd of December Street
  • Al Satwa Road
  • Al Nahda Street
  • Omar bin Al Khattab Street
  • Naif Street

Time-Saving Measures

Scheduled for completion between 2025 and 2027, this ambitious project will expand Dubai’s network of dedicated bus lanes to cover a distance of 20.1 kilometres. By encouraging residents to opt for public transport over private vehicles, the government aims to alleviate traffic congestion and promote a more sustainable mode of commuting.

Promises of Efficiency

The primary goal of this initiative is to streamline travel experiences for commuters. By implementing dedicated lanes, authorities aim to ensure punctual bus services and enhance the efficiency of taxi operations.

With the introduction of dedicated taxis and bus lanes, residents can look forward to smoother, more efficient journeys, ultimately contributing to a more vibrant and sustainable urban environment.
