How Many Days Off Will Dubai Schools Get For Winter Break 2024-2025?

Union Day Holiday

First up, Dubai students will have two days off for the UAE Union Day public holiday. This year, Union Day falls on Monday, December 2, with Flag Day on Tuesday, December 3. This is a fantastic opportunity for a longer weekend, especially if you already have Saturday and Sunday off. For families, it means a lovely four-day weekend starting from Saturday, November 30 to Tuesday, December 3. Both public and private school students will enjoy Monday and Tuesday off for this national celebration.

Winter Break Dates For Dubai Schools

For Dubai’s private schools following the Ministry of Education (MoE) calendar or an international curriculum, winter break will officially start on Monday, December 16, 2024, until Monday, January 6, 2025. This 3-week break applies to private schools that start their academic year in either September or April.

While this calendar sets the main dates, schools have some flexibility in their academic calendar, as long as they meet the minimum required school days: 188 for MoE curriculum schools and 182 for those following an international curriculum.
