Dubai: RTA Announces 3 New Roads To Ease Hessa Street Congestion

Hessa Street is probably one of the busiest routes for commuters in Dubai, and there’s almost always a jam there. In some excellent news, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced 3 new roads to ease the traffic flow, ensure public safety and ease condestion on Hessa Street, as the population continues to grow.

Hessa Street Congestion To Reduce Significantly

Three new roads are being constructed to ease the traffic at Hessa. The roads cover 37 kilometres and are in Al Quoz 2, Nad Al Sheba 2 and Al Barsha South 3. The entire project improves the area connectivity by increasing the number of entry and exit points of Hessa Street by 1,500 vehicles per hour.

RTA director general Mattar Al Tayer said, “Such a drive is prompted by the need to cope with the needs of demographic and urban expansion and improve the well-being and happiness of people in the emirate.”

The road work will include streetlights, drainage systems, car parks, bus stops & paving. In Al Barsha South 3, authorities have developed roads extending 6.4km at the Mohammed bin Rashid Gardens, surrounded by Al Barsha South 2 to the north, Al Hebiah 1 and 4 to the south — Motor City and Sports City — Arjan to the east, and Al Barsha South 4 to the West.

Mr Al Tayer said, “As such, the accessibility of Al Quoz 2 around the market complex and Al Quoz Pond Park will improve and serve about 3,000 residents.”
