Dubai Police drivers are all set to take part in the Mille Miglia, a famous 1,000-mile race held in Italy. Especially for this race, a special edition Mercedes is being flown to Italy from Dubai. It is A V8 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG (also one of the fastest cars in the entire race), which runs at a speed of 315km/h. The race will begin from Brescia in Lombardy and end up all the way to Rome and back.
“Our participation in the race symbolises the UAE’s efforts to bring safety and security at home and to promote mutual dialogue and respect with other cultures globally,” said the director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Dubai Police, Brig Jamal Salem Al Jalaf.
“The Emirates is established on the values of tolerance and openness, evident in its rich diverse society of over 190 nationalities who live and work together in harmony. “We look forward to sharing these values with millions of race spectators across the world.”
