The bridge will be around 1.4 kilometers long, featuring four lanes in each direction, which means it can carry up to 16,000 vehicles every hour. It’s designed to rise 18.5 metres above Dubai Creek, leaving enough room below for boats to pass through a 75-metre-wide waterway – so marine traffic won’t be affected either! What’s even more great about this new road project is that it’s not just about making commuting easier for drivers, but also puts focus on making Dubai a more walkable city. The bridge will also have dedicated walking and cycling paths, with elevators at both ends to make access easy. Plus, it includes 2 km of surface roads to link everything smoothly with the rest of the network in both Bur Dubai and Dubai Islands.

Part Of A Bigger Vision: The Al Shindagha Corridor

This bridge is just one piece of a massive upgrade called the Al Shindagha Corridor Development.
