The Gold Line will begin at Al Ghubaiba in Bur Dubai, running through Business Bay, Meydan, Global Village, and Dubailand. By linking older districts with newer developments, this expansion will ease pressure on the existing Red Line and provide smoother access between residential and commercial areas.
The RTA has officially opened the bidding process for the consultancy contract for the Gold Line project. Global firms have until May 2025 to submit their proposals. The contract will cover everything from concept and preliminary design to potential construction supervision and post-construction services.
