Heads up, weekend mall wanderers: Dubai Mall, the crown jewel of retail therapy (and Earth’s most visited spot in 2024, no less), is officially getting a glow-up. But with great expansions come… temporary traffic chaos. So, if you notice a few cones, confusing detours, or that your go-to valet has mysteriously vanished… you’re not imagining things. Yep, your mall ritual is about to get shaken up!

First on the chopping block? Grand Parking, the smallest (but dearly beloved) of the four parking areas with 694 slots. It’s officially closing in June, all in preparation for the reveal of the sleek new Grand Drive, opening August. This isn’t just a new ramp; it’s a full upgrade on how you’ll roll into Dubai Mall going forward. Oh, it’s the one near Financial Street, in case you were still wondering. So if that’s your usual go-to, time to pivot.
The Lower and Upper Financial Centre exit ramps have also left the building (for now), along with the Grand Drive Valet service. Instead, all traffic’s sliding over via Grand Drive and Cinema P3 during the closure. Meanwhile, Fashion, Cinema, and Zabeel Parking are still holding down the fort.
The mall’s gentle warning? “Follow signage and allow extra travel time.” Which is a polite way of saying: don’t cut it close unless you want the ultimate parking panic.

Because when you’re Dubai Mall, standing still isn’t an option. With millions pouring in monthly, this massive expansion is designed to streamline the chaos, future-proof the flow, and make your mall visits faster, fancier, and far more fabulous.
For now, embrace the detours, trust the signs, and maybe leave five minutes earlier. The inconvenience is temporary – but the glow-up? Oh, it’s going to be grand.
