The UK-based sportswear giant JD Sports has landed in the UAE with a BANG – unveiling its first flagship store in the MENA region at The Dubai Mall! Spanning an impressive 5,478 square feet, this newly opened store is packed with some of the latest and most exclusive sportswear collections, featuring global favourites like adidas, Nike, Puma, Asics, and even New Balance. The grand opening was an event to remember, attended by the core leadership of GMG Group. VIPs like Mohamed A Baker, CEO of GMG, Mohammed Bodiat, Senior VP of GMG
, Roy Nasrallah, VP of Marketing, and Pavol Bielik, GM of JD Sports ME, were there to celebrate this exciting launch. Media and influencers got a sneak peek at the exclusive store, enjoying treats from Not (So) Guilty, live DJ beats, and a vintage photobooth for those Instagram-worthy shots.

The excitement didn’t stop there! JD treated the first 100 customers to special gifts and had a Nike footwear customisation station where visitors could personalize their shoes. The exclusive pre-launch sale of adidas Aruku shoes created a real buzz, with limited pairs selling out in no time. Missed the opening weekend? No worries – Crep Protect will be providing free sneaker cleaning from November 15th to 17th, so you can keep your kicks looking fresh.
One of the main attractions is JD’s exclusive “Only at JD” product range, featuring unique items from the world’s top sportswear brands. Speaking about the store’s launch, Roy Nasrallah, VP of Marketing at GMG, said, “Opening this store in The Dubai Mall is a huge milestone. It’s a testament to our commitment to growth and innovation in this region.” Pavol Bielik, JD Sports ME’s General Manager, added, “Expanding into the UAE is an exciting journey for us, and we’re thrilled to bring such exclusive products to the region.”
