DXB Back To Operations

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, announced that DXB has already returned to its regular flight schedule ahead of its anticipated recovery timeline. With approximately 1,400 flight movements per day, the airport is bustling once again. Griffiths commended the collaborative effort that enabled the airport’s swift recovery. Despite 2,155 cancellations and 115 diversions, the combined efforts of airport staff, airline partners, and service providers ensured minimal disruption to travellers.

Supporting Travellers

During the disruption, 31 flights were redirected to Dubai World Central (DWC), where all passengers were promptly assisted. Ensuring guest welfare remained paramount, over 75,000 food packs were distributed across both airports. While operations are returning to normal, challenges such as processing the backlog of baggage persist. Griffiths reassured travellers of ongoing efforts to streamline operations and thanked them for their patience.

Business As Usual At DXB

As DXB resumes normal operations, travellers are advised to arrive at the terminal three hours before departure to facilitate smoother check-in processes and avoid congestion.

Despite facing one of its most challenging weather events, Dubai International Airport has demonstrated remarkable resilience in swiftly restoring normal operations. Through collaborative efforts and a commitment to passenger welfare, DXB continues to uphold its reputation as a leading global aviation hub.
