The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is planning to implement something called the City Brain. This new system will be implemented this year and it will speed up journeys and reduce waiting time. Bus ridership is predicted to increase by 17% as a result of the project. City Brain is projected to reduce typical bus commute time by 5%, minimise average bus waiting time by 10 per cent and will be used in developing network planning in public transport. This system will be implemented in cooperation with Alibaba,
Here’s how this system will work: The system analyses a vast quantity of data acquired from nol cards, buses, and taxis in use, as well as from back-end control centres, using artificial intelligence and complex algorithms. Complex data will be transformed into practical and helpful notifications on bus schedules and routes, allowing users to better plan their bus rides.
