We all know how hard the COVID-19 pandemic has been on the tourism industry. Travel restrictions and numerous PCR tests have made travel very difficult. But finally, the situation is in hand now, thanks to the vaccine. Hence this year Dubai expects to get back on track with the previous tourist numbers.
By the end of 2022, Dubai Tourism CEO Issam Kazim expects tourist numbers to be closer to those of 2019. Between January and March 2022, Dubai welcomed nearly four million international overnight visitors, up from 1.27 million in the same period last year, signifying a tremendous 214 per cent increase.
