The Suwaidi Pearls Farm, founded in 2005 by famous Emirati Abdulla Al Suwaidi, is the Gulf region’s first farm of its sort. The farm grows the Pinctada Radiata, often known as the Gulf pearl oyster, with domestically obtained molluscs from Al Rams’ natural water creek.
Abdulla Al Suwaidi’s Family, Al Suwaidi’s is inextricably related to the history of the Gulf pearling era, stretching back to the 12th and 13th centuries, and belongs to the Julfar dynasty, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The family history may be traced back to life in the Gulf area, which has been inextricably linked with the ocean’s treasure for over 7000 years. His forefathers continued pearling for years, culminating in the twentieth century with his grandpa Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al-Suwaidi being one of the last remaining Al Suwaidi pearl divers.
