All New Rules Of Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Abu Dhabi & Sharjah Schools

Looking at the surge of COVID-19 cases in the UAE, here are some new rules that are to be followed by teachers and students from January 3rd, 2022:

Abu Dhabi:

The UAE has declared that remote learning would be introduced in all schools, colleges, and training centres across the nation beginning January 3, 2022, in the first two weeks of the second semester of the academic year. The Ministry of Education made the statement during the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority’s (NCEMA) monthly media conference on Tuesday.

The Education Ministry adopted additional restrictions, including the need that all children produce a negative PCR test that was performed within the previous 96 hours before returning to school.

In addition, all parents of students will be subject to the Al Hosn Green Pass restrictions. Health authorities, in collaboration with each emirate’s emergency crisis and disaster management committees and teams, may amend or alter the guidelines based on the most recent requirements and developments.

Dubai:

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) announced on Tuesday that normal studying within the classroom on campus would resume on January 3, 2022.

Sharjah:

Staff and students above the age of 12 must provide a negative result from a Covid test done no more than 96 hours before the start of lessons. The Sharjah Private Education Authority also stated that all extracurricular activities, morning assemblies, and school trips will be “suspended till further notice.” In-person learning will resume on January 3rd, 2022.

Ras Al Khaimah:

The Ras Al Khaimah local Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority stated on Wednesday that from January 3, 2022, all private schools and nurseries would resume regular study within classrooms on campus.

“Regular face-to-face education in Ras Al Khaimah private schools will continue in the second semester while the collective classroom and extracurricular activities will be discontinued,” said the statement.
