Guinness Declares Al Qudra Track Dubai World’s Longest Cycling Path

Dubai is always, and we mean ALWAYS making it to the Guinness World Records. In yet another feather to its hat, Dubai’s Al Qudra Track has been declared as the longest continuous cycling path, spanning 80.6 km. This is in lines with H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council’s directive to make Dubai a bicycle friendly city.

Al Qudra Track Wins Guinness World Record

Al Qudra cycling track beat its own record from 2020, for a 33km long bicycle lane. A marble plaque inscribed with the achievement and the logos of RTA and the Guinness World Records was unveiled in a ceremony, to mark the achievement.

Maitha bin Adai, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency, said, “Besides being the longest cycling path globally, Al Qudra track is designed according to top safety and security standards. The track is fitted with relevant signboards and ground markings. It passes across extensive sand dunes and lakes that render it attractive and liked by cycling professionals and enthusiasts globally. The track runs over wide parts of Al Qudra area, which spans about 188 square kilometres.”

“This continuous cycling track has sub-tracks that extend 135 km along with the original track. The track is equipped with emergency call phones distributed over 30 points along the track, in addition to shaded places with seats, restaurants and toilets as well as bike rental shops.”
