The Green Pass Protocol for Al Hosn App has been modified by the Ministry of Health and Prevention. From December 5 onwards, the green pass will only be valid for 14 days for vaccinated people, rather than the previous 30 days.
On the Al Hosn app, there are six categories of ‘green’ status, based on the completion of your immunisation and the validity of your RT-PCR test result. Individuals who were previously vaccinated (the second dose received more than 28 days before the present date) and received the requisite PCR test results would have the Green Pass active on their smartphone for 30 days before needing to undergo another PCR test. This is what has changed since Wednesday.
The Green Pass is used to gain entry to specific public locations in the country and has been in use in the UAE since the implementation of the new COVID-19 regulations.
