Over the past few weeks, Abu Dhabi Media Office & Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) have been very suspicious over social media. Recently, on Twitter, the announcement was made! In 2025, Abu Dhabi is getting a Natural History Museum on Saadiyat Island. Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed unveiled the project, which pledges to ‘help find solutions for the future of our planet.’
“New museum and scientific research centre in Saadiyat Cultural District will showcase natural history spanning 13.8 billion years and help find solutions for the future of our planet. Museum will be the largest of its kind in the region and will present some of the rarest natural history specimens ever found. Museum aims to inspire and empower younger generations to protect the planet through curiosity and discovery.” the official press release said.
The tweet confirms that this, the Saadiyat Cultural District’s fourth museum (following the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum, and the Guggenheim), will also have a scientific research centre “that will undertake studies in zoology, palaeontology, marine biology, molecular research, and earth sciences.”
