An extremely rare deep-sea creature was spotted by a beach visitor on the shore at Crystal Cove State Park in Orange County, California. This creature is known as the footballfish and is found in the great depths of the Pacific Ocean. It is a kind of anglerfish but it lives thousands of feet below the surface.
The fishing company said that it is highly unusual to such a deep-sea creature on the shore. It had an 18-inch carcass. The first spine of the fish’s dorsal fins serves as an overhead lamp that has a fluorescent bulb to attract prey. It is a big warning sign to see such a deep-sea creature washed up on the shore.
